My background is broad and deep. Over 30 years in the sales and sales management roles. That provides me with some perspective on the art and science of integrating sales/marketing into the world of association and corporate clients. Professor at the University of Houston. I have had the honor and joy to teach both graduate and undergraduate courses there for almost 20 years. Most of the time the topic is sales related yet in the Bauer College Master’s Program I taught Business Communication. That allows both the real world and academic works to be applied to credit unions. The Author of (2) books and part of an anthology in another. Often as a speaker the revenue can be returned from back of the room sales. The engagement fee is smaller and the book sales can aid in the additional revenue. Winner of the 2017 Stevie Award for Sales Development. Now, outside the world of the people who know about the Stevie Award it is granted based on the body of work done and the submission from peers. So, what do I do when I am not speaking for your clients? I am the VP of Sales Development for a large Industrial Distributor – DXP Enterprises. Headquartered here in Houston, TX, we started in 1908 and have grown to over $1B in sales I manage a group of sales professionals and develop the sales training tools for 200+ outside sales, 230+ inside sales, and 30+ Sales managers. I created the DXP University and DXP Sales Gym, based off the idea of a Learning Management System (LMS) can connect with the sales teams that are not in Houston. I travel throughout the US and Canada teaching Sales, Negotiation, Customer Service, and Presentation Skills.
